Training
The Sheriff Department's Training and Media Unit is headed by Lt. James Martin and, with the assistance of Deputy AJ Tart, covers training of the Deputies and non-certified personnel, as well as Media Relations.
Other duties include;
- Instructing
- Class Scheduling
- Ensuring requirements for the Commission on Law Enforcement Standards & Training are met and maintained
- Overseeing Policies and Procedures
- Pre-Employment and Promotional Testing
- Research and Development of new products and programs
- Coordinating with outside training groups
- Coordinating Neighborhood Oriented Policing activities

Tactical Response Team training at Carpenter Dam, as featured
on the cover of numerous magazines, ads and other media publications.
