ARRA Chargers
The Garland County Sheriff's Department has received two vehicles from the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The ARRA provided the funds for two (2) fully equipped 2010 Dodge Charger's. One has been assigned to the detention center to be used as a reliable transport unit for long distant and out-of-state prisoner transports, the second has been assigned to the Garland County Reserve Unit to be used on patrol. The total award amount was $50,500.00.
The funding paid for the two units and all equipment, such as; light bars, radios, partitions, sirens and a lockable gun rack and laptop computer for the Reserve unit.
