We are searching for our sister WANDA DARLENE WALKER SMITH we know she has had trouble and been arrested a few times and is bad into drugs. But no one has heard from her in over a year and she normally calls to borrow money from one of us every month or so. I am praying we can find her. Her family is so worried about her is there anything I can do? I called the Police dept there and filed a missing persons on her on 3/22/2010. please contact me if there is any thing else I can be doing. thank you so much and may God Bless you and protect each of you..

I dont know if people realize Garland County has the most Hi-Tech up to date modern Marine Patrol Fleet in the area I dont know of many larger Municipalities with a better force.
All the officers are highly skilled boaters andhave some of the best equipment provided mainly by the donations of residents of Garland County. The Sheriff's Marine Patrol commanded by Niel Parliment is so dedicated that I dont know what we would do if they were not present. I certainly dont think AGFC could handle it as well as these folks.

Keep up the great job guys

I accidently came across the "Nixle" part of this website while searching for something else. This is great! Especially this morning with the snow (Monday) and about a week ago when the weather turned icy. Updated post by the Sheriff's office will let so many know what the roads are like. Thank you for this service. If people will check this site before trying to get out, it will save a lot of headaches for drivers and law enforcement as well. Please update it often during weather events like this. GREAT JOB!

Good job on your web site GCSD. I may have overlooked a link on his site, But I do not see it here, So I advise anyone who might be interested in a little history of pictures of past Sheriffs from 1873 to 2004 for Garland County, See a part of this site which is:

I am glad to see your dept. making the effort to make people aware that their information can make a difference or even save lives! Keep up the good work! Focus more on the meth, crack ,coke, ice & crank. That is where most of our problems in Hot Springs are stemming from!!! I KNOW! I have lived here all my life & have seen what will happen if nobody stops this self destruction!

Don,t EVER give up on this murder. We all know who is the responsible parties. Put the heat on Hot Spring Co. & the State Att. General. Those 2 that are responsible for this death need to pay for thier evil deed. The murder victim deserves justice & closer for the family. This whole thing has dragged on way to long! < http://www.lindaedwards.com

My boyfriend left me in danger in the middle of nowhere. I had to walk at least a half half mile in a dark secluded area just to get phone service. All the while afraid my attacker would return. I was injured and very scared.

I am committed to the team effort of designing, funding and building a new adult detention center.

The patrol officers and those who work in adult and youth detention deserve the support of citizens concerned for officer safety and inmate welfare.

My vision is to make Garland county the ideal place for a career law enforcement officer to work and live. This county should make it a goal to provide the highest salaries and a bonus plan based on tenure.

Also, any new detention facility will be the finest, best-equipped money can buy.

Been years since in AR, but wonder if Corky Martin still on force. At a time when they really needed such, he was a good cop. Probably nearly running place if still there or should be.....

Hi there-

I was wondering if any of the old fellas the department back in the 1960s-1970s were still around Hot Springs. I am hoping to talk to some of them to help my friend find out about the murder of her grandmother Mable Hutson (Hutson was her maiden name) Ashley back in 1967. The case was never solved and my friend's mother has never had any peace about it.

We're hoping to find out about some of the people she knew who were bail bondsmen and involved with the old Vapors Club. Please let me know if anyone can help.

Your site is really great! Thank you :-)
