Criminal Investigation Division
Led by Capt. Shelby Terry, the Criminal Investigation Division processes and investigates all crimes within Garland County that occur outside of the city limits of Hot Springs. Employing 10 investigators, 3 of which are assigned to the Drug Task Force, C.I.D. duties include the following;
- Investigating crimes
- Investigating missing persons
- Conducting interviews
- Follow-up investigations
- Surveillance
- Preparation of warrants
- Compiling case files
- Report entry and processing

The most recent addition to the Criminal Investigation Division is a full-time sex offender registration position, which was filled by Deputy John Henry. Deputy Henry will be handling all matters relating to sex offenders, including;
- Sex Offender Registration
- Follow ups
- Issuance of warrants
- Locating and tracking of offenders
