The Garland County Sheriff's Department is commited to hiring dedicated and motivated professional types to represent the Department and the County. We pride ourself on having one of the finest department's in the state and strive to maintain a level of professionalism expected by the citizens.

We have a "divisional" promotion structure that starts with a new hire in either the communications division or detention division. From there, the deputy's work their way through patrol division and on into the investigations division. Each step is considered a promotion and is entitled to a raise in salary. Within each division are promotional steps as well, including multiple corporal, sergeant and lieutenant positions.
