Sheriff Announces New Business Check Procedure
Business Owners to Notice Check Slips
January 14th, 2005 -- Sheriff Sanders instituted new procedures for checking businesses today. Starting this week, business owners will start noticing "Check Slips" inserted into their doors noting the date and time that the premise was checked and if anything out of the ordinary was located. These new slips are an addition to the regular checks that Patrol Division has been doing on local business' for several years.
Along with the slips, business owners will be visited by a member of the Department with information on protecting your business and to gather emergency contact information so that if a business is found to be unsecured or damaged, the owner can be promptly notified by our Communication Division.
